The ARM B9 S4/S5 Intake optimizes airflow for the EA839 to support the most power and best times on your B9 S4/S5. To achieve this, the ARM B9 S4/S5 Intake starts with alarge 6″ inverted high-flow conical air filterwhich provides a total surface area of144 cubic inches. This massive filter transfers airflow to the turbo inlet via ouroversized 4″ intake tubewhich is made with6-ply high temperature reinforced silicone, and designed to push the filter deeper into the cooler area of the engine bay.
The ARM B9 S4/S5 Intakecompletely replaces the restrictive OEM airbox. The OEM B9 airbox was designed to restrict the generous turbo sounds your EA839 naturally makes in order to keep the non-enthusiast happy. The ARM B9 S4/S5 Intake wasdesigned with the enthusiast in mind. Weremoved all sound suppression features and restrictionsto allow you to hear all the turbo sounds coming from your 3.0T.
The ARM B9 S4/S5 Intake comes included with awrinkle black coated aluminum heat shielddesigned to help keep the hotter air generated by the 3.0T separate from the cooler air flowing into the engine bay through the OEM air snorkel. The ARM Heat Shield issecured to the OEM threaded post on the strut towerwith an included nut. The OEM air snorkel channels cool air from the front grille directly at the ARM B9 Intake air filter. Our B9 intake tube reduces to the72mmwhich allows you toconnect to either the ARM B9 S4/S5 Turbo Inlet or the OEM turbo inlet.
